International PR Agency Graduate Scheme

Applications for Diffusion’s 2019 UK Graduate Scheme are Open!

Diffusion is an international, award-winning, integrated communications agency with offices in London, New York and LA. Our team of PR professionals use the power of storytelling, conversation and recommendation to help brands capture the attention of their audiences. We make it our mission as a PR and communications agency to bring to life what brands and businesses do, and to then go further and demonstrate why they truly matter.

This is an exciting time for Diffusion as an agency. We are ten years old and we’ve just opened our next office in LA. The Diffusion graduate scheme allows potential to be nurtured, raw talent to be honed, and careers to grow in the best possible environment. Our graduate scheme is designed to help produce the PR leaders of tomorrow, through an intensive 12 month programme of training and development. Those selected for the 2019 graduate scheme will join the London office in either April or September 2019.

If you are among the lucky few who make it to the end of the application process, you will be hired as a full time Associate Campaign Executive, and will have the opportunity to work across our amazing portfolio of technology, consumer, business and travel clients. You’ll learn the ins and outs of PR agency life in an open and supportive environment, where you can be a critical part of the team right from the start. It’s specifically designed to provide recent graduates with the right mix of training and entry-level experience needed to be successful in the fast-paced PR industry. We’re not one of those agencies looking for an entry-level team member to sit behind the scenes just doing office admin. Our Associate Campaign Executives jump right into things – from learning how to build relationships with media the right way, to participating in creative campaigns, client communication, attending meetings and showing off their writing skills. Our model of work emphasizes clear deliverables for each client you work for, so every team member is just as valuable as the next.

The Details and Application Process

We only want the best and that means our application process is nothing if not rigorous – comprised of three interview stages:

Stage 1: To apply for a place on the 2019 PR graduate scheme, please complete our application form which you can download by clicking Apply.

Deadline: 5pm Friday 1st March 2019

Stage 2: A graduate assessment day will be held for shortlisted candidates on either Tuesday 12th or Thursday 14th March at Diffusion’s central London offices. Please make sure that you are available on both of those days when you apply. If successful, we will let you know which day you are required to attend.

Stage 3: The candidates who manage to make it to the final round will be invited to Diffusion for a final panel interview towards the end of March.

Do you think you have what it takes? Above everything else, a Diffusion Graduate is:

  • Someone who has a love of communication, the news and media in all of its forms
  • Someone who loves and wants to work with companies in the technology and digital space
  • Writing should be one of your passions and you’ll be a junkie for current affairs and popular culture
  • You will also have a clear understanding of the PR process and be excited by how it shapes our lives today
  • PR is an industry where people buy people and where success comes only from working as a team. Great PR practitioners need to be likeable and outgoing, engaging and credible and ooze common sense and creativity
  • The best PR practitioners also need to be natural problem solvers who don’t give up at the first hurdle. You’ll need to be creative not afraid to jump into a challenge (like our in-depth interview process!)
  • At Diffusion we believe that the creation and execution of award-winning PR campaigns requires real academic rigour. So successful candidates will need an actual or predicted First or 2:1 degree, strong A Level results and min. grade A GCSE English
  • Finally, in looking to join an agency which is leading innovation in digital communication, an enthusiastic and natural affinity to all things online is essential

Good luck and we look forward to reading your application!
