An exciting and urgent requirement has arisen for an ambitious and dedicated IT support professional to join a rapidly expanding and market-leading organisation to help support their applications.

The organisation specialises in providing healthcare support and services throughout the UK and have cemented their position as market-leaders through significant acquisitions of organisations. They are embarking on a major phase of transformation as they seek to implement full uniformity of systems and processes on an enterprise-wide scale and are looking to add to their highly skilled IT Service Desk Support Team

The role:

The IT Service Desk Technician’s role is to provide 1st and 2nd line support on all IT Applications, Systems and hardware used by our operational and central business functions.

This role will be working as part of an IT Service Desk Team of 5 technicians and being the 1st point of call for all IT Incidents, Requests and queries. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all tickets are dealt with from start to finish with a focus on excellent Customer Service and quality. The role will work closely with our other IT Support functions with a focus on Mobile Device support and Operational specific application support. You’ll be responsible for supporting a wide range of end users from Branch staff to senior management, and ideally have a strong background in Application Support.

Your background:

  • Previous 1st and 2nd line experience in an IT Service Desk Environment

  • Experience of working with and supporting key operational applications

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience of supporting business operational specific systems such as Finance and bespoke operational applications

  • Experience of working with and managing issues logged with 3rd party suppliers and vendors

  • knowledge of supporting MS Windows environments, MS Exchange, and MPLS Network infrastructures

  • Knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware, including Dell and HP desktops and laptops, mobile devices, HP thin client terminals and varied printing devices.

  • Excellent customer-service skills within an enterprise environment
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Passion for IT and related technologies

This role will be based in the company's Altrincham office and comes with a salary up to £22,000pa basic + benefits.
