Founded nearly ten years ago, Arkesden Partners is a London based executive search firm. We undertake mandates across Europe, North America, Middle East & Sub Saharan Africa and have built a very successful track record to date of working closely with clients and candidates alike.

We have a number of practice areas that focus on front office Buy and Sell Side roles which include Investment Banking, Alternative Investments, Infrastructure & Energy, Real Estate and Corporates.

Given our longevity of client relationships, track record and success in these markets, we enjoy a very high record of repeat business with our clients currently running at seventy percent of all mandates completed annually.

What do we do?

We act on behalf of our clients who seek to hire the best people in the market for their businesses. Arkesden Partners sources that talent and manages the end to end interview process, working on behalf of the candidates and clients. We find those people through head-hunting, recommendations, and utilising our ever-expanding database. We act as a consultancy too. We provide not just human capital but also market data and trends to our clients on topics ranging from salary and bonus details through to team mapping exercises. The best example of this is our annual Compensation Report ( which is seen as one of the industry leading remuneration reports and widely anticipated by Banks and Banking Staff alike. This year the report was read by over fifty thousand members of the Banking and Investments community in Europe alone.

Why are we growing?

Arkesden Partners is looking to add a Researcher to the team here in London. You will train as a generalist and have an opportunity to work across all sector practices in your first year with us. The role will be for a bright, ambitious and entrepreneurial individual to join the business initially as a Researcher before becoming a Junior Consultant.

The reason for the hire is that the firm is seeing an ongoing pick-up in activity and therefore the workload to service clients is quickly rising. Arkesden is looking to develop new talent across the firm in order to meet its exciting growth plans. We have a long history of successfully hiring graduates from leading institutions. Many of our management team have developed from joining as graduates.

Role Specification

There are many facets to Executive search, all of which are learnt through hands on training. Arkesden Partners offers a tailor-made Consultant Development Framework designed by an industry leading Management Consultancy for Researchers. Indeed, training happens at all levels of the firm.

You will be initially trained fully in the following areas:

  • You will gain an in depth understanding of the investment and advisory markets across all our sectors
  • Telephone Skills speaking to candidates and clients alike
  • Networking (Headhunting and Relationship Building)
  • Client and Candidate meetings
  • Sales Skills
  • Business Development Techniques
  • Working Structure
  • Working to and upholding our company values
  • End to End account management of both candidate and client mandates

These are the key areas of becoming a successful Executive Search Consultant and ongoing training and development plays a major part of your work at Arkesden Partners.

Job Role

Initially you will learn the business from the ground up.

  • Building your network and establishing relationships with candidates through head-hunting and regular meetings
  • Attending client meetings with consultants in order to write job specifications and confidently sell roles to candidates
  • Generating market Intel (teams, compensation trends etc.)
  • Assisting from day one in the research and execution of live mandates
