Get in the game –IT Operations Management (Cloud) Graduate Programme
You’ve worked hard since school and throughout university, maybe with a few beers along the way, now’s the time to develop what you’ve learnt and use those skills in the real world. Where better than at William Hill? Not only are we investing in the latest technology to help our customers and colleagues; during this two-year structured programme, we’re also going to be investing in you.
We’re looking for Cloud Engineers to join our team in Leeds where we can help take your knowledge further – all the way to getting your MSc in Digital & Technology Solutions. We’re working with University of Northumbria to offer all our new tech grads the opportunity to work and learn at the same time, with 20% of your time spent studying for this Master’s Apprenticeship where you’ll learn through solving real business problems.
As part of your specialism, you’ll develop critical knowledge in Cloud Engineering. You’ll learn common cloud types such as FaaS, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS and the security and networking considerations. You’ll understand the benefits and disadvantages of Cloud computing and design considerations to optimise resource consumption in the Cloud to create scalable deployments.
There’ll be plenty more to learn too, but we don’t want to give it all away at once.
You’ll be based in our Leeds office and although you’ll be an IT Op’s Management Specialist we will give you all the tools and knowledge so you are fully in the know about Technology at William Hill.
You don’t have to love gambling or sport, but it does help. As well as 2.1 projected degree (in any subject) – you’ll ideally have a real passion for technology that you want to put to great use. And even if you’re not a tech whizz just yet, the Master’s includes a bridging course, so you’ll be up to speed with the basics before you get going.
So all we ask is that you bring an enthusiasm for new and existing technologies; a willingness to learn and an ability to eat plenty of pizza.*
Your work is important to us but we want to see you learn too and make sure you’re really getting something meaningful to help kick start your working life. And in return for your hard work, you’ll have the opportunity for structured training and international travel to work with different cultures across our offices in Gibraltar and Poland. And, we’ll train you in lots of different tech systems and languages and of course the formal MSc you’ll have at the end of the two years.
You can apply for the role right here and to find out more about life at William Hill, follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter.
