Operations & Resourcing Exec - Social Impact - Graduate

The Company:

My client is on a mission to reduce the spend for Schools on short-term absences with supply teachers. With the current model nearly exclusively reliant on agencies that often charge a massive commission and can be terribly inefficient (everything is paper and phone-call based).

The business is looking at consolidating that analogue, fragmented, and inefficient marketplace onto a digital platform – Think Uber for supply teachers and during this process, they’ll pull hundreds of millions of waste out of the education system and have a huge positive impact on teachers and schools. 

They are well funded by high-profile investors, have had a significant early transaction, and are led by start-ups veteran behind two of London’s most prominent tech companies.

The Role:

This role will play a significant role in the development of the company with a key focus on expanding the business’ volume of teachers by finding, onboarding and retaining those individuals on their network. This role will grow with you and thus there is a chance for quick progression in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and onboarding of candidates, whilst verifying all statutory checks are complete by candidates, assuring their suitability to work with children
  • Increase the volume of candidates and they have a good experience by matching them with an appropriate school.
  • Ensure that business operations run smoothly, daily, by maintaining daily liquidity of candidates available for cover as well as ensuring fulfilment of short-term bookings request.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with candidates to ensure retention and repeat business
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and the technology team to continuously improve efficiency in delivering value to schools and candidates
  • Get your hands dirty – this is a true start-up, no two days are the same and a general interest in all aspects in the business is welcome as well as an ability and desire to muck-in where necessary

Requirements:

  • You have a good degree from a good university
  • You have a passion for business’ that have a positive social impact
  • You’ll have a great attitude towards working in a team, helping out where needed
  • You’ll be motivated to be a top performer in everything you do

Desirable:

  • Experience in commercial operations or resourcing role
  • Experience and/or strong knowledge of the education sector

Training & Development:
Relevant on the job training will be provided to bring the successful candidate up to speed. You will have exposure to lots of key projects within the business and will be given the help and support to achieve your career goals within the company.

Duration: Permanent

Location: London

Salary:  £22,000 - £26,000

Start Date: ASAP
