This is your chance to join a rapidly developing multi-site business and market leading UK company within the timber industry! Employing over 1200 people and with a Group turnover in excess of £300m, we have ten profit centres across the UK and one in Latvia, We are BSW.

Joining a well-established & centrally based IT function, your role will focus on helping us deliver quality software solutions that meet ongoing business needs – providing analysis on business and systems requirements, along with first line technical support to our customers.

Enjoying plenty of scope and variety, as well as increasing responsibility and accountability, you’ll benefit from widespread exposure across a range of day to day IT operations, which will include:

Core Software Systems – developing, testing, documenting and maintaining existing in-house systems; recommending improvements and identifying options for new/potential solutions; whilst also troubleshooting production system issues and undertaking problem resolution tasks

Systems Integration – maintaining existing levels of integration between in-house systems; reviewing existing solutions and making recommendations for improvement; as well as providing solutions for new integrations and assessing their suitability from, a technical and business perspective

Ideally, we’re looking for a graduate calibre 1st or 2nd Jobber, with a relevant IT or degree level qualification, who can demonstrate

  • A good knowledge of current computer hardware and a passion for software applications
  • A keen eye for detail, along with the know-how to identify and resolve problems
  • First rate communication, organisation and relationship building skills
  • A Full driving licence and plenty of flexibility, including a willingness to undertake UK travel
