We are looking for a positive, ambitious and passionate recently graduated software focused professional to join our Sales team.

Ciena is an United States-based global leader supplier of packet-optical and Ethernet technology. Our products, solutions and services support the delivery and transport of all types of traffic from traditional voice and data to today’s cloud and application-centric environments.

In simple terms, we can make data go further and in grater volumes than anybody else. We lead the world in what we do!

As part of the Inside Sales team you will be trained about our products and best technology market practices, you will support our company developing and expanding our portfolio of existing customers and prospects in Europe, Middle East and Africa. 

This position is ideal for target driven individuals who are ready to take on an exciting and challenging career.

Software Programming Skills, fluency in German or Arabic will definitely be considered a plus!

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the account managers with the management of our existing customers
  • Supporting the entire sales process, from identification of potential customers, lead qualification, preparing and attending remote meetings, and contract negotiation.
  • Responding to inquiries and requests from Ciena’s customers and partners
  • Assist in executing the Inside Sales team marketing strategy, communication plan and lead generation.
  • Creating and maintaining databases: Channels Partners/Field Sales/Databases; Networking Groups; Referral Leads, etc.
  • Manage the sales cycle with SalesForce
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills:
  • Highly motivated and ambitious with a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Strong language skills– fluency in English plus additional European languages preferable
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload independently, multi-task and prioritise effectively.
  • Confident and poised appearance, and able to operate at an executive level.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  • Excellent phone manner and strong Web-based skills
  • Ability to use MS Office applications
  • Must hold work permission for UK (no Visa will be sponsored).
