Milkround delivers care packages to students

In November last year, we headed to six universities across the UK to deliver 3,000 care packages to students during a challenging time over the national lockdown period.

The care packages included a canvas bag, mug, mobile holder, pen and chocolate, as well as a range of delicious fresh fruit and vegetables to help boost the body and mind, as many students continue their studies and learning remotely. Additionally, students who scanned the QR code on their boxes were put into a draw to win a year’s supply of fresh fruit and vegetable deliveries.

We started the tour in Newcastle, making our way to Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, and Sheffield delivering approximately 500 care packages to university students in each city. The cities chosen include large universities whose students have been confined to halls of residence or told to self-isolate in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Georgina Day, Graduate Jobs Expert at Milkround, comments: “Students across the country have faced high restrictions on their freedom, with many confined or experiencing the national lockdown in their university halls. With many fresher events cancelled or moved online, as well as remote learning and studies now taking place virtually online, we wanted to let university students know that Milkround are thinking of them, and would like to recognise their resilience during this challenging time.”

Tim Bodenham, CEO at BAM, comments: “We have worked with Milkround for some time now, and we just knew that this concept would be perfect from them. They really care about the welfare of students and to provide them with a little bit of support through this care package, says a lot. It’s been really exciting working on this campaign, it’s one of those fun campaigns that just have that complete feel good factor ingrained throughout.”
